The first aircraft of the Finnish Air Force, Thulin typ D reconnaissance plane, arrived at Vaasa, Finland on 6th of March 1918. The date has since been celebrated as the founding date of the Finnish Air Force.
In 2024, it will be 40 years since the previous air show was organized in Vaasa, hence there’s a good momentum for the airshow.
Latest annual main airshows were in Turku 2023, in Pori 2022 and in Helsinki, Kaivopuisto 2021. All were very successful.
